Church Growth in Laos

The community of believers in Laos has grown from a single church in 2019 to twelve churches today, with over 700 believers, each with their own pastor. This growth has, in large part, been driven by missionary efforts and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

Key Missionary Partner

Brother Paul from Cambodia has been our key missionary partner since 2019. He regularly travels from Cambodia to Laos and also teaches the brothers through digital channels and helps to orchestrate the local works in Laos, including the printing efforts, distribution, and accountability of funds and offerings.

What the Believers Are Doing

Underground Printing

3 churches serving as local print stations. Printing is illegal—commercial printers are available. Sometimes they print under the cover of night.

Evangelism

9 brothers to the work of an evangelist. Actively spreading the gospel throughout the region despite restrictions.

Translation

Efforts have been made towards translating the Message into the official Lao language and the local Hmong people's language.

Bible Studies

Brother Paul from Cambodia leads regular Friday evening Bible studies with the brethren in Laos. Through these efforts he has been able to mentor the believers and share deeper truths of the End Time Message, gradually weaning from the milk and transitioning to the meat of the Word.

Literacy Program

Brother Por Her, a local pastor, teaches Thursday night reading classes after his farming labor. His church has a literacy rate of approximately 50%, not uncommon in the region. Through these efforts, believers can enjoy the Word of God and the Message of the hour more deeply with enhancing their individual relationship with Jesus Christ.
